As a Platform Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain the network, server, and cloud systems that support the organization's critical operations. This role demands a strong focus on security compliance (especially PCI DSS), high availability, and 24/7 reliability, including standby/on-call support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and maintain server/network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, hypervisors, backup systems).
  • Administer Windows and Linux servers for optimal performance.
  • Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other security standards.
  • Provide 24/7 technical support and participate in standby/on-call rotations.
  • Manage secure access controls (VPNs, logins, etc.).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align IT systems with business needs.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures.
  • Deliver managed IT services with proactive monitoring and support.
  • Execute Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery processes.
  • Analyze service performance data and recommend improvements.

Skills and Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in network infrastructure, server administration, and system maintenance.
  • Deep understanding of PCI DSS, vulnerability management, and threat mitigation.
  • In-depth knowledge of hypervisors (e.g., Nutanix Prism, VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in database administration (e.g., MSSQL, MySQL).
  • Availability for on-call/shift work to ensure 24/7 support coverage.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with server and network hardware setup and maintenance.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure setup and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) for cryptographic key management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with development, security, and other IT teams.
