Business Analyst- Underwriting Automation Project

Key Accountabilities:

·       Configure underwriting rules in automated underwriting systems, ensuring compliance with approved requirements and performing unit testing.

·       Contribute to the implementation of automated underwriting strategies to improve purchasing outcomes and operational efficiency.

·       Monitor and deliver automated underwriting rule engine configurations, measuring performance against agreed SLAs, identifying gaps, and recommending leadership actions.

·       Manage risks associated with underwriting outcomes, ensuring alignment with risk preference, and escalate issues as required.

·       Provide quarterly and annual feedback on performance, SLA achievement, and operational capability.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or related field.

· years in financial services or insurance; 3+ years in underwriting risk management; 1+ year in underwriting automation.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

· Experience in automation, rule design, and applying data analytics to influence business outcomes.

· Ability to adapt in dynamic environments, recognize priority issues, and escalate where necessary.

· Understanding of product/solution impact on customer and business value.

· Knowledge of underwriting risk management practices and customer-centered design.

· Familiarity with Agile methodologies to deliver iterative value.

· Experience collaborating with teams to align strategies with desired outcomes.

· Awareness of international insurance regulations, standards, and protocols.
