Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Brand Alignment

  • Develop and implement social media strategies for each brand under Berjaya Food Berhad.
  • Align content direction with business goals, marketing calendars, and brand voice.
  • Identify opportunities for digital storytelling and audience growth across platforms.
  • Uphold brand credibility and corporate reputation through responsible content and timely issue management.

2. Content Development & Campaigns

  • Lead content planning, creative direction, and production for social media campaigns, brand activations, and internal or CSR initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, creative agencies, and external partners to produce high-quality, engaging content.
  • Be hands-on with content creation — including photo and video editing — to support fast-turnaround campaigns and in-house productions.
  • Ensure consistency in brand tone, visual identity, and messaging across all social channels.

3. Influencer & KOL Management

  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with content creatorsto amplifybrand storytelling and campaign reach.
  • Develop influencer briefs, review content for alignment, and track performance outcomes.
  • Build long-term partnerships that reflect brand values and resonate with target audiences.

4. Internal Employee Engagement & Activations

  • Support internal communication campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Create and manage internal-facing content (e.g., employee features, event highlights, behind-the-scenes stories).
  • Encourage and activate employees as brand advocates on digital and social platforms.

5. Community Management & Engagement

  • Oversee day-to-day community interactions and ensure timely, brand-appropriate responses.
  • Foster an engaging and inclusive online environment that strengthens brand affinity.
  • Monitor conversations and social trends to identify opportunities or emerging issues.

6. Performance & Insights

  • Track and analyse performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.
  • Prepare regular reports for management highlighting key results, trends, and learnings.
  • Stay informed on platform updates, algorithms, and industry best practices to continuously improve performance.

7. Paid Digital Marketing Support

  • Plan and execute paid social media campaigns, including audience targeting, ad development, and budget management.

8. Governance & Collaboration

  • Partner with cross functional teams to align messaging and campaign rollouts.
  • Provide guidance to brand and store-level employees to maintain brand standards.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and corporate communication policies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Multimedia, or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in social media management, preferably in F&B, retail, or lifestyle industries.
  • Proven track record in leading campaigns, influencer partnerships, and content creation.
  • Skilled in photo and video editing (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or similar tools).
  • Strong understanding of platform-native formats (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and visual communication skills.
  • Agile, creative, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
