About the role

Joining BARAT OLEOCHEM SDN BHD' as a Lab Assistant & Regulatory Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's products meet the highest quality and safety standards. This full-time position is based in Port Klang, Selangor, and will involve a combination of laboratory testing and regulatory compliance responsibilities.

What you'll be doing as :

Lab Assistant

  1. Conducting routine laboratory tests and analysis on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards
  2. Documenting and maintaining detailed records of all testing procedures and results
  3. Collaborating with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues
  4. Prepare samples in accordance with customer requirements.
  5. Assisting in the development and implementation of quality control processes and procedures
  6. Support the supervisor in other duties as assigned.

Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

  1. Prepare and maintain Product Information Files (PIFs), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and technical documentation.
  2. Handle the applications, renewals and audits for Halal, GMP, and other certifications
  3. Work closely with R & D, QA/QC, and Production teams to ensure compliance at all stages of product development.

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant diploma or degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory or quality control role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  3. Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, testing methods, and regulatory requirements
  4. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  5. Proficient in data analysis and report writing
  6. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
  7. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
