Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our global cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize mission-critical systems while promoting automation, observability, and DevOps best practices.

Location: Kuala Lumpur | Work Setup: On-site, 5 working days per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize high-availability production environments across GCP and AWS, including operating systems, middleware, and distributed systems.
  • Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, root-cause analysis, and preventive maintenance to maintain optimal uptime.
  • Oversee data protection, disaster recovery, log auditing, and compliance (ISO27001, PCI-DSS) while implementing enterprise-grade security frameworks.
  • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks, and monitoring tools using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or similar technologies.
  • Design and implement multi-cluster operations, service mesh (Istio), and observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Champion DevOps and DevOps principles to improve delivery processes and operational efficiency.
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, and escalation workflows to ensure 24/7 system availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor engineers to promote operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • At least eight years of experience in system operations, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Proven expertise in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud architectures (GCP, AWS).
  • Strong command of Kubernetes, service mesh (Istio), CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation scripting (Shell, Python, Golang).
  • In-depth understanding of networking, storage, compute, and security architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and crisis-management skills.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, cross-border environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CNCF, CKA, CKS) are an advantage.
