• Work well under pressure due to the demanding KPI and a strong team working ability to deliver the KPI successfully

• Possess good customer centric skills. Ability to independently communicate and interact with customers and BH L2 on technical matters.

• Possesses good interpersonal and organizational skills

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills and truly passionate in the field of turbomachinery to self-drive his/her own development

Main Responsibilities

• Provides early warning notification on detected anomaly and first cause analysis on trips and failed start-ups as per Scope of Supply from L2 BH

• Daily monitoring of the Monitoring & Diagnostic (M&D) fleet composed of aero-derivative and heavy-duty gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, electrical machines, gearboxes, auxiliaries and balance of plant

• Participate, lead & share lesson learnt to relevant stakeholders to improve deliverables to customer and to the team members

• Lead RM&D level 1 team members development and sharing technical knowledge and experience with L1 team for their knowledge enhancement

• Engage with team members on monthly KPI metrics for way forward and improvements

• Analyze data and alerts generated by AM&D prognostic systems

• Dismissing false positive alerts

• Acknowledging alerts relevant to anomalies already notified

• Preparing Activity Log database's entry and notification for specific type of events

• Checking main equipment's parameters during run up/run down escalating to Level 2 for any anomaly

• Sending notification to Level 2 for approval

• Preparing or updating issue database accordingly

• Escalating alerts relevant to other event types to Level 2

• Support introduction of new analytics by checking alerts and trends

• Pre-analysis of Trip, Failed Start, Forced Normal Shutdown, Deceleration to minimum load, Step to Idle or Stage Down event

• Navigate and interpret site-specific control software (e.g. MarkV / VI / VIe, Woodward / Micronet, Rx3i /GE Fanuc) and engineering documents (e.g. P&ID, Instrument List) to support technical analyses

• Work assigned weekends and holidays on a rotational basis (flexible compensation time received for weekend / holiday shifts)

• Ensure completeness and quality of M&D data

• Remotely support testing and troubleshooting activities at site; case by case basis for travel to site

• Focal person and lead RM&D level 1 and lead of the shift – Only for Senior role

• Lead alert prioritizing and task assignment especially during critical days – Only for Senior role

• Manage and ensure RM&D level 1 KPI as per scope of supply from L2 BH are met – Only for Senior role

• Support and guide L1 RM&D Engineers on daily front end customer issue's – Only for Senior role

Key Challenges

• Ensuring meeting KPI as per Scope of Supply monthly basis to avoid from penalty

• Urgency in attending to customer technical issues. Some flexibility is required, since breakdowns, failures and support request could occur anytime during the day in a week.

• Working and supporting demanding customers, juggling between customer centric values and organization business goals.

• Development of the L1 team members in short time to avoid for any operational impact – Only for Senior role

• Senior RM&D engineer will cover wide domain of technical expertise. Challenge would be the ability to support and drive technical disposition in areas where candidate does not have in depth technical expertise – Only for Senior role

Working Relation

• Working closely with BH L2 team

• Collaborate with others to solve complex technical issues

• Provide support to other engineering and business functions for data collection, analysis and path forward definition if needed

• Work in cooperation with Product Services team, Technical Accounts and Project Management to carry out root cause analyses, support customers and expedite issue resolution if needed

• Work in close cooperation with global teams if needed
