What you'll be doing

  1. Prepare and maintain accurate cost records and reports for various projects and products
  2. Analyze and interpret cost data to identify areas for potential cost savings and optimization
  3. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other related documents
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations
  5. Provide support in the implementation of costing strategies and procedures
  6. Continuously monitor and report on cost variances, identifying and addressing any discrepancies
  7. Maintain and update costing-related databases and systems
  8. Contribute to the continuous improvement of costing processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant diploma or degree in related field
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in a costing role, preferably in the Mechanical Engineering industry
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  4. Proficient in using Microsoft software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  7. Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and improvement
