Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly established brand & marketing department, taking the lead in shaping JPPM's brand identity and marketing direction.

The Brand and Marketing Executive will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to plan and execute strategic initiatives that elevate the company's presence across the group and its subsidiaries.

The role offers significant opportunities for career growth, ideal for someone experienced, proactive, and passionate about building a strong, sustainability-driven brand in the paper, packaging, print and biomass industry.

Job Description

* Plan brand strategy at group and subsidiary levels

* Main marketing message: champion sustainability/ ESG in the supply chain/ distribution business

* Identify and lead participation in events/conventions that elevate brand visibility

* Plan PR events and media appearances (e.g. radio, newspapers)

* Develop online presence across all social media platforms and websites

* Initiate industry partnerships with associations, schools, and universities

* Oversee brand consistency across all physical and online collaterals, including internal branding

Skills Required

* Strong planning, leadership, and proactive execution

* Research-driven and data-focused decision-making

* Creative and resourceful problem-solving

* Sharp eye for design, aesthetics, and branding consistency

* Excellent cross-department and cross-subsidiary communication and collaboration

Plus Points

* Knowledge in sustainability, ESG, biomass, paper, and packaging industries

* Ability to design and produce marketing materials

* Strong copywriting skills for both digital and print platforms

Qualifications

* Degree in Marketing, Branding, Communications, or Environmental Studies/Sustainability

* At least 3 years working experience

Work Arrangement

  • Office based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre

  • May have to travel to group offices (mostly in KL/ Selangor)

* Flexible working arrangement — results-oriented environment

  • * Replacement day off provided for weekend event duties/ working
