Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products and services meet the established quality standards, including reliability, usability, and performance. You will work closely with the development and product teams to identify and resolve quality issues, and to continuously improve our processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning & Execution: Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts, ensuring that testing is comprehensive and covers all aspects of the application.
  • Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify, document, and track bugs and defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Automation Testing (Good to Have): Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
  • Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to ensure the application meets the required performance benchmarks.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Requirement Analysis: Review and analyze system specifications to develop a deep understanding of the product features.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in the testing and quality assurance process.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Facilitate UAT with internal teams and clients to ensure the end product meets the user requirements.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation of the testing process, including results, defects, and improvement areas.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in software testing.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in manual testing.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, QTP, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
