Job Summary

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Chinese restaurant to ensure excellent guest service, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service during all meal periods
  • Ensure adherence to established service standards, SOPs, and brand guidelines
  • Monitor restaurant cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety compliance at all times
  • Coordinate closely with the Kitchen/Chef on menu execution and service flow

Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise service staff
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback
  • Ensure staff grooming and discipline meet restaurant and company standards
  • Foster a positive, teamwork-oriented work environment

Guest Experience

  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and handle complaints professionally
  • Build strong relationships with regular and VIP guests
  • Monitor service quality and take corrective action when necessary

Financial & Administrative

  • Manage restaurant budget, cost control, and revenue targets
  • Monitor food, beverage, and operating costs to maximize profitability
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, billing, and inventory control

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local regulatory requirements
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and labor regulations

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, F&B Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in restaurant operations, preferably in a Chinese restaurant
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin (spoken); other languages are an advantage
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM5, RM7,000.00 per month
