Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is an added advantage.
  • 3–5 years of working experience, preferably in an accounting firm and/or multinational company (MNC).
  • Good knowledge of Accounting Standards and Tax Regulations (including Transfer Pricing and Withholding Tax) will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to support cross-functional teams and drive operational efficiency.
  • Result-oriented, self-motivated, agile, and a strong team player.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with SAP-ERP, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Power BI, VBA, and Macros will be an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage daily general accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Perform month-end closing activities, prepare analyses and commentaries for regional financial statement reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and investigate reconciling items.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations (e.g., U.S. GAAP, SOX, internal controls, and local statutory requirements).
  • Lead and drive US GAAP and statutory accounting compliance; conversant in IFRS and US GAAP with understanding of their impact on local accounting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as HR, Marketing, Production, Procurement, and Logistics.
  • Liaise with external parties including Company Secretary, Tax Agent, Auditor, and Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
  • Prepare yearly audit schedules and tax computations.
  • Maintain and monitor Fixed Asset Register and perform regular Fixed Asset Sighting Exercises.
  • Prepare CAPEX proposals for headquarters approval.
  • Conduct product costing and valuation reviews.
  • Assist in annual budget preparation and financial planning.
  • Participate in or lead projects, process improvement initiatives, and automation efforts, as well as perform ad hoc assignments as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4, RM5,500.00 per month
