Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the finance operation in Malaysia (eg. prepare and issue tax invoice to clients, process payment to suppliers & staff claims, process payment to authorities, ensure cost and revenue are properly and accurately taken up in the system and etc.)
  • Ensure timely submission of weekly 3-month Cash Flow Forecast, weekly AR and AP Aging reports
  • Follow up on Accounts Receivable status with our clients
  • Manage Accounts Payable inquiries from our suppliers
  • Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting
  • Implement and maintain accuracy of financial reporting using project completion accounting/method
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities
  • Implement finance & business process improvements
  • Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines
  • Ensure compliance of internal control regulations
  • Support Regional Accountant in all financial and related queries pertaining to Malaysia operation
  • Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
  • Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (SST/WHT/…), audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal
  • Other ad hoc matters

Requirements:

  • Degree/ Diploma in Finance or Accounting
  • Good planning and organizational skills & leadership
  • Good understanding of local accounting practices and taxation law
  • Proactive individual with excellent organizational skills; able to work independently to achieve goals and meet deadlines
  • Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work
  • Mature, resourceful, ability to multitask and thrive under pressure
  • Experience working in Marketing industry would have a distinct advantage
  • Familiarity with project completion method of accounting will be advantageous
