Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the finance operation in Malaysia (eg. prepare and issue tax invoice to clients, process payment to suppliers & staff claims, process payment to authorities, ensure cost and revenue are properly and accurately taken up in the system and etc.)
- Ensure timely submission of weekly 3-month Cash Flow Forecast, weekly AR and AP Aging reports
- Follow up on Accounts Receivable status with our clients
- Manage Accounts Payable inquiries from our suppliers
- Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting
- Implement and maintain accuracy of financial reporting using project completion accounting/method
- Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities
- Implement finance & business process improvements
- Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines
- Ensure compliance of internal control regulations
- Support Regional Accountant in all financial and related queries pertaining to Malaysia operation
- Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
- Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (SST/WHT/…), audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal
- Other ad hoc matters
Requirements:
- Degree/ Diploma in Finance or Accounting
- Good planning and organizational skills & leadership
- Good understanding of local accounting practices and taxation law
- Proactive individual with excellent organizational skills; able to work independently to achieve goals and meet deadlines
- Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work
- Mature, resourceful, ability to multitask and thrive under pressure
- Experience working in Marketing industry would have a distinct advantage
- Familiarity with project completion method of accounting will be advantageous
