Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or an equivalent professional engineering qualification.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in civil/structural projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, technical drawings, and project coordination.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD & Microsoft Project.
  • Able to work independently with initiative in identifying and solving project challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and communication, and team coordination skills.
  • Flexible, willing to learn and adapt to new tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and civil engineering drawings accurately.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and material management.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in problem-solving under pressure and handling site challenges proactively.
  • Possess own transport and able to travel as required.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Track and monitor construction progress against the approved program and report deviations or delays.
  • Review and check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including method statements, material submissions and drawings.
  • Prepare, verify, and maintain site reports, progress updates and all required documentation.
  • Coordinate drawings, design revisions, and documentation for consultant and client approval.
  • Work closely with subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules.
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, and internal teams on all technical and project-related matters.
  • Review and approve work progress claims, invoices, and variation orders.
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring all site construction activities.
  • Assist in cost control and budget monitoring, identifying opportunities to optimize resources.
  • Support QA/QC and safety compliance activities on site.
  • Monitor resource allocation, including manpower and materials.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical input.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety on site.
