Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting

  • Ensure all general ledger transactions are accurately recorded and appropriately classified.
  • Guarantee the accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Help prepare the group's consolidated financial statements.

2. general Ledger & Reconciliation

  • Ensure General Ledger accuracy by reviewing and processing all journal entries.
  • Handle the reconciliation of bank accounts, intercompany balances, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
  • Manage the maintenance of the fixed asset register, guaranteeing the accurate calculation and entry of depreciation.
  • Handle the tracking and resolution of all accounting record discrepancies.

3. Internal Controls & Audit

  • Manage the development and upkeep of internal financial controls and processes.
  • Handle communication between the company and internal auditors for the duration of the audit engagement.

4. Team Leadership & Support

  • Provide mentorship and supervision to junior accountants and finance assistants.
  • Oversee and evaluate junior staff work for accuracy and compliance with established standards.
  • Direct training and development initiatives to enhance the team's skills and expertise.

5. System & Process Improvement

  • Work with various departments to implement improvements in accounting and reporting efficiency.
  • Take part in projects aimed at digitalizing and automating finance processes.
  • Identify and analyze problems within the accounting system, then propose solutions for process optimization.

Requirements:

1. Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.

2. Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in n senior or supervisory role.
  • Audit firm experience is an added advantage.

3. Accounting Software

  • Proficient in Auto Count and UBS accounting software.

4. Soft Skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM4, RM6,000.00 per month
