About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Surveyor to join our team at Klitz Vibrant Imported Kitchens Sdn Bhd in Simpang Ampat, Penang. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products and installations. As the Quality Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining our high standards throughout the construction and manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare documents for tender submission.
  • Manage pre and post contractual matters, including variation orders, interim valuations, progress claims, and final accounts.
  • Assess subcontractor claims, issue payment certificates, manage variations.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cash flow to ensure cost efficiency
  • Work closely with project manager and site team to collect input on cost implications for design changes, and ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Support the team with various ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior when necessary.
  • Perform quantity takeoff and prepare detailed cost comparison and estimations.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome. 1–3 years of relevant experience is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of tendering, procurement, contract management, and construction drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for dealing with clients, suppliers, and teams.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in both office and site environments.
  • CIDB Green Card (Construction Personnel Registration) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel to project sites when required.
