Job Overview:
Join our team as an Accounts Officer and play a key role in managing daily accounting operations, bank and transaction reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will ensure accurate records, timely payments, and support smooth financial processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Accounts Manager and Management to maintain strong internal controls and support smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities :
1. Financial Record-Keeping & Reconciliation
- Maintain accurate accounting records after data entry by the Accounting Clerk.
- Prepare payments for Accounts Payable (AP) and subcontractors based on the list provided by the Accounts Manager and approved by the Managing Director.
- Handle Accounts Receivable (AR), including issuing invoices based on the breakdown provided by the Accounts Manager
2. Bank & Transaction Reconciliation
- Reconcile bank statements with internal accounting records.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
3. Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
4. Compliance & Audit Support
- Manage company tax matters.
- Handle monthly tax instalments.
- Prepare and submit Form C and Form E.
- Oversee Sales Tax and Service Tax requirements.
5. Administrative & Operational Tasks
- Oversee payroll ending payment, including tax deductions such as Benefits-in-Kind (BIK).
- Maintain both digital and physical financial documents.
- Utilise accounting software for efficient and accurate record-keeping.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with tax compliance.
- Able to work independently and build strong relationship.
