Duties and responsibilities

  1. Direct and manage teams across Cambodia and Vietnam operations, ensuring seamless coordination between merchandising, production, and quality control while aligning with organizational goals and buyer expectations.
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive timelines and T&A (Time & Action) calendars, monitoring each stage of production to guarantee all deadlines are achieved with full compliance with brand standards and factory operational procedures.
  3. Conduct seasonal review meetings to evaluate ongoing challenges, identify recurring production or merchandising issues, and drive corrective action plans to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  4. Act as the key liaison between brand and production teams, bridging communication gaps, resolving technical or production-related issues, providing actionable solutions, and closely monitoring shipment SOT, to ensure timely deliveries.
  5. Oversee and validate all team deliverables—including management reports, product samples, graphics, and other technical submissions—ensuring accuracy, consistency, and error-free handover to production.
  6. Provide continuous coaching and support to team members, ensuring performance objectives are met while enhancing problem-solving skills, accountability, and ownership at all levels.
  7. Cultivate a culture of high performance and collaboration, motivating team members to achieve operational excellence while encouraging individual professional growth and development.
  8. Build and strengthen collaborative relationships with cross-functional colleagues (QA, Production, Shipping) and external partners, including Gap VD, Carters, and new brand clients, to sustain long-term business partnerships.
  9. Lead by example with a hands-on leadership approach, demonstrating resilience, accountability, and problem-solving skills during high-pressure situations such as production delays, shipment challenges, or last-minute buyer requests.

Requirements:

  1. Garment production processes, fabric types, trims, and quality standards
  2. Production planning, scheduling, and inventory management
  3. Vendor negotiation, cost control, and material procurement
  4. MS Excel/Word/PPT proficiency, AI (Average)
  5. Compliance with CPSIA, PSR and buyer testing requirements
  6. Full knowledge in buyer existing system.
  7. Team leadership and cross-department coordination
  8. Effective communication with suppliers, buyers, and internal teams
  9. Problem-solving, decision-making, and time management under tight deadlines
  10. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Bachelor's Degree (required/preferred):

  1. Textile Engineering
  2. Fashion Design / Garment Technology
  3. Apparel Merchandising
  4. Business Administration / Management / Marketing
  5. Master's Degree (optional/advantageous):

Experience

  1. 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in garment merchandising, product development, or apparel production.

  2. At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or team lead role is typically required, demonstrating ability to manage junior merchandisers and cross-functional teams.

  3. Experience should include handling end-to-end merchandising processes, such as:

a) Sample development and approvals

b) BOM, costing, and order management

c) Coordination with buyers, suppliers, and factories

d) Production follow-up and quality assurance

e) Experience in international sourcing, multi-brand environments, or large-scale production is highly valued.
