Responsibilities:

• To advise project manager on safety construction regulations, health and safety at work, codes of practices relevant to safety matters to meet legal requirements;

• To responsible for overall planning, implementation on Environment, Occupational Safety and Health matters within work palces;

• To anticipate potential risk and hazards at site and recommend relevant safety procedures;

• To work closely with the local statutory bodies like DOSH, NIOSH etc;

• To ensure all workers on site observe the regulations concerning health, welfare, and first aid facilities;

• To determine the cause(s) of any accident(s) or near accident(s), and recommend means of prevention;

• To report and record all accidents on site;

• To continuously provide awareness on safety & health to project personnel through meetings, training and other communication sessions;

• To conduct tool-box meetings;

• To attend meeting when there is need;

• To perform any other duties set by the company policy, management or his direct superior, which does not include in the above-mentioned descriptions.

Requirements:

• A certified competent Occupational Safety & Health Officer from DOSH/NIOSH or approved institution

• Must possess valid DOSH-SHO competency (Green Book)

• Good attitude, positive minded, independent and good team worker

• Must be self-oriented with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
