About the role

ASTEEL Group Berhad is seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Account Executive to join their team in Setia Alam, Selangor. As a Senior Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in the company's financial accounting and reporting operations. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, reports, and variance analysis
  • Handle full set of accounts including month-end and year-end closing
  • Prepare monthly cash flow statements
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget
  • Review journal vouchers, bank reconciliations, and stock listings
  • Handle banking matters including IBG transactions and bank submissions
  • Review and verify requisition forms and related financial documents
  • Manage credit control and follow up on outstanding receivables
  • Prepare project accounts, project P&L, and review project claims
  • Maintain audit schedules and liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and company secretaries
  • Prepare draft financial statements and support audit and statutory reporting
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
  • Perform other ad-hoc finance duties as assigned by Management

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2–3 years' relevant working experience
  • Able to handle full set of accounts independently
  • Experience with SQL Accounting and/or QNE Accounting software
  • Familiar with monthly and year-end closing and management reporting
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Applications)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented
