Job Description

We are looking to employ a dedicated and experienced Safety and Healthy Officer (SHO) Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to oversee construction projects and supervise the construction team

Responsibilities:

Safety and Healthy Officer (SHO)

1.identify project safety risks and prevention and control measures, and be able to cooperate in the preparation of the "Project Safety Management Plan",

  1. Familiar with the safety responsibilities of each position and be able to take the lead in conducting assessments;

  2. Carrying out project safety education and training work and be able to independently or cooperate with the project safety officer in safety education, and cooperate in carrying out project pre-shift announcements, weekly safety training and special safety training activities.

  3. Be able to independently carry out daily safety inspections, cooperate with weekly project safety inspections and special safety inspections, be able to comprehensively identify potential hazards on the project site, and be able to put forward targeted rectification suggestions.

  4. Understand the requirements of international and domestic safety excellence standards and lead projects to carry out safety excellence work.

( Site Safety Supervisor)

  1. Conduct daily check for pre-task toolbox form  and  to ensure they comply.
  2. To monitor and supervise all high risk activities such as lifting, working at height, hot work and working with works train all the time.
  3. To promote the safe conduct of work generally within the work site.
  4. To rectify any unsafe place of work
  5. To correct any unsafe practice
  6. Prepare weekly safety site reports and submit to all relevant parties.
  7. To conduct tool box meetings, inspect worksite hazards and prepare risk assessments.
  8. Liaise with JKKP/DOSH and authorized department (eg. Bomba, Jabatan Kesihatan, CIDB, etc.) to maintain company progressive safety standards and requirement.
  9. Prepare monthly Safety Audit Report to the management.
  10. Communicate, coach and assist the field staff to ensure that all safety expectations are understood and met.
  11. Coordinate a regular meeting with project safety team to review issues, trends and upcoming conditions or events
  12. Assisting in developing the staff, policies, procedures, and organization within the Operations department and ensure the smooth running of the organization.
  13. Maintaining good housekeeping and implementing safe working practices at areas of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Safety Health Officer (SHO) must possess green book, issue by DOSH
  • At least three (3) years working experience as Safety Health Officer (SHO)
  • Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) must possess yellow book issued by DOSH
  • At least three (3) years working experience as site safety supervisor (SSS)
  • Prefer candidate able to report immediately
  • Hold at least additional safety certificate such as lifting supervisor, scaffold, signalman or rigger.
  • Ability to communicate in 3 language is a plus
