Safety Supervisor

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- To oversee safety & health matters at the construction site;
- To establish and implement overall safety & health management system and ensure compliance with the government rules and regulations;
- To coordinate and conduct regular safety visit, audit and inspection at the site;
- To perform investigation on any accident/incident and propose corrective & preventive actions;
- To liaise with the relevant authorities/clients on all safety & health issues;
- To conduct tool box meetings, safety briefing, safety induction and relevant meetings with all site personnel to ensure safety & health procedures are clearly understood;
- To inspect safety equipment and ensure sufficiency for all site personnel;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
- Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
- Knowledge in Mandarin would be an added advantage.
- At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Must be registered with NIOSH and possess valid YELLOW BOOK.
- Responsible, committed, problem-solver, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willing to travel.
- Willing to work on weekend if required.
- Willing to be based at Penang.
