Logistics Operation Manager-Transportation

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily transportation operations in partnership with the 4PL (LLP) to ensure timely and efficient delivery across all routes and modes.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound transportation activities to meet delivery requirements and department performance goals.
  • Manage carrier relationships and ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize freight capacity, reduce transit times, and improve delivery performance.
  • Track and analyze transportation KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and service quality.
  • Prepare and present operational reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Work closely with supply chain teams—including commodity managers and purchasing—to resolve operational issues and streamline processes.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for process improvement and support digital transformation initiatives within logistics operations.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in logistics or transportation management.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, carrier management, and logistics systems (TMS, WMS, SAP).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities with proven experience managing carriers and suppliers.
  • Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing logistics performance.
  • Strong leadership skills with a continuous improvement and operational excellence mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data tools such as Power BI.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and adapt to fast-paced environments.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to RM6,300.00 per month
