Duration: 12-Month Renewable Contract

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Tester with strong experience in the Banking and Financial Services domain to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both Waterfall and Agile/Hybrid methodologies, possess strong leadership and analytical skills, and demonstrate the ability to lead and guide testing teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Testers, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Participate in test planning and contribute to the design and execution of testing strategies.
  • Validate functional specifications to ensure complete test scenario and case traceability.
  • Ensure that both functional and non-functional requirements are incorporated into the testing process.
  • Execute day-to-day testing activities as directed by the IT Project Manager, Business Project Manager, or Test Manager.
  • Perform test script creation, test data preparation, and test execution.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of testing standards, tools, and release cycles.
  • Ensure accurate and timely defect logging in JIRA with detailed information, logs, and screenshots for effective investigation.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr as part of the bank's test management ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4–9 years of experience in testing within Banking / Financial Institutions.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Senior Tester or Test Lead role.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of Testers.
  • Strong working knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence (mandatory).
  • Excellent understanding of test planning, execution, and defect management processes.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with attention to detail.
