Job Summary

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities to ensure machinery and equipment operate efficiently. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, spare parts management, and coordination with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure timely response to machine breakdowns.
  • Review and update Machine Breakdown Reports and Maintenance Requisition Forms.
  • Plan and schedule preventive and predictive maintenance for machinery, utilities, and facilities (boiler, compressor, air dryer, air conditioning, silo, and dust collector systems).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Coordinate with production, warehouse, and purchasing teams for spare parts and maintenance materials.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations, perform cost comparisons, and raise purchase requisitions for non-stock or new maintenance items.
  • Supervise maintenance technicians and ensure proper job execution and safety compliance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, downtime analysis, and energy reports.
  • Manage external vendors for specialized equipment servicing and statutory inspections.
  • Support energy efficiency and cost-saving initiatives through regular performance monitoring.
  • Prepare and present monthly maintenance performance reports, including machine downtime, cost analysis, and maintenance KPIs.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or facilities.
  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial machinery, compressors, boilers, HVAC, and utilities.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Proficient in maintenance reporting tools/software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Chinese language proficiency preferred.
  • Occasional travel to Bidor, Perak

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
