About the Job

Our client is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network systems, including Wi-Fi, switching, cabling, and network security components. This role demands deep expertise in Cisco and Palo Alto technologies, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Job Description

WIFI

  • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Cisco WLCs and Cisco AP.
  • Troubleshoot user speed and coverage issues.
  • Monitoring and alerting using Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
  • Periodic configuration backup and security patching.

Switching

  • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Cisco core, distribution, access, and top of rack switches.
  • Monitoring and alerting using Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
  • Periodic configuration backup and security patching

Cabling

  • Identify and troubleshoot faulty cable runs, both copper and fiber.
  • Supervise and instruct the cabling vendor for repairs.

Network Security

  • Authentication and Authorization to campus Wi-Fi, guest Wi-Fi, admin access to network equipment, remote access VPN, using Cisco Identity
  • Services Engine. Configure and maintain policies and rules on Palo Alto and Cisco Firepower firewalls.
  • Maintain ACLs on LAN devices.
  • Periodic configuration backup and security patching.

Documentation

  • Maintain inventory and change documentation of all of the above.
  • Handle support cases and warranty claims of all of the above.
  • Create and update SOPs and How-Tos as necessary, both for users and internal IT use.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant in Network Engineering, Management Information System (MIS) Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field qualifications or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant field.
  • Expert Cisco and Palo Alto - Proficiency and Rapid Resolution
  • Proactive Learning and Adaptability
  • Strong communication and critical thinking
  • Language Requirements: English

The remuneration package can be adjusted based on any additional skill sets you have that is of value to the College :

  • VMware vSphere suite - ESXi, vCenter, SRM, vROps. ● Backup and Business Continuity - Veeam B&R, NetApp local snapshots and filer to filer snapshots, VMware SRM.
  • NetApp storage - NFS datastores presented to ESXi hosts, CIFS shares, Snapshots and backups.
  • Cisco Unified Communications - CUCM for VOIP, Cisco voice gateway/ router, TM PRI/SIP lines, Cisco Unity for voice mail and Call/Directory Handlers.
  • Microsoft server technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, SCOM, CA, NDES.
  • Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) administration. Azure AD SSO, MFA.)

Working Days & Time:

  • Monday - Friday (8:00AM - 5:00PM OR 9:00AM – 6:00PM (Flexi Working Hours)
