About us:

We are a growing organization in the Electrical Engineering sector. n line with our business growth and commitment to safety and compliance, we are seeking a dedicated Chargeman (A1 Certification) to strengthen our technical & operations team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical installation works for systems and equipment up to 11kV, as permitted under A1 certification.
  • Carry out replacement and upgrading of electrical components, cabling, and switchgear, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults to ensure smooth system operations.
  • Ensure all installation and replacement works comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) requirements and statutory regulations.
  • Supervise and coordinate contractors, vendors, and site workers involved in electrical projects.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and compliance records.
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure safe practices during installation and replacement activities.

Requirements:

  1. Valid Chargeman A1 Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
  2. Minimum 2–3 years' hands-on experience in electrical installation, upgrading, and replacement works (e.g. cabling, switchgear, distribution boards, lighting, power systems).
  3. Familiar with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of newly installed systems.
  4. Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, wiring schematics, and safety standards.
  5. Ability to supervise and coordinate contractors during installation and project works.
  6. Good problem-solving skills and technical judgment in carrying out electrical works.
  7. Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  8. Willing to work overtime, on-call, weekends, or public holidays if project schedules require.
