Requirements

  • Work within the organization to understand needs, goals, and objectives.
  • Develop secure, scalable, high-performance and reliable data engineering and analytics solutions in a cloud platform such as AWS or Snowflake.
  • Solve challenging data integration problems for complicated and diverse data sets, utilizing and coding optimal ETL patterns, frameworks, query techniques, and sourcing / merging from structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Design and develop data pipelines and cloud infrastructure components to support machine learning systems at scale.
  • Apply software engineering best practices to data engineering such as source code versioning, CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with stakeholders, data owners and project team members in order to gather requirements, provide expertise and resolve issues in the context of a data solutions project.
  • Collaborate with business owners, data engineers, data scientists and IT service owners in a global shared services environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field with additional experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, Numpy, PySpark).
  • Highly experienced in Data Engineering tech stack such as dbt, Snowflake, Immuta, Monte Carlo, Collibra, Talend, Hashicorp, etc.
  • Experience with GitHub or GitLab CI/CD
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building data pipelines.
  • Ability to translate business needs to technical requirements.
  • Ability to plan, problem solve, and communicate precisely and thoroughly.
  • Native or full professional proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written)
