JOB PRINCIPLE

The material's planner's responsibilities include determining material specifications, creating and maintaining inventory schedules, coordinating with internal departments and managing external stakeholder relations. To ensure the appropriate supply of cost-efficient and high-quality materials required to maintain steady production and product delivery.

JOB PURPOSE

  • Determining the required materials for production, child parts & packaging materials and generating purchase requisition. Plus, liaising with customers, suppliers and distributors.
  • Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards and are cost-efficient. Assure that the operations have the necessary materials, to meet required manufacturing/ production levels.
  • Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products. Managing inventory issues, schedule changes and cancellations.
  • Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends. Coordinating with other dept. regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.
  • Review both plant production schedules and SAP materials requirement planning system to determine raw material needs for the next 3 months.
  • Identify potential and actual material shortages.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering/ Logistics or equivalent.
  • 1 - 3 Years of experience in related field.
  • Good knowledge of production planning.
  • Able to perform analytical skills & thinking.
  • Customer focus (internal & external).
  • High communication & collaboration skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,300.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Shah Alam: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
