Account Assistant

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry and maintenance of accounting records.
- Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, debit/credit notes, and receipts.
- Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding transactions.
- Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
- Support preparation of financial reports and schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, auditors, bankers, and tax agents when required.
- Perform any other accounting or administrative duties as assigned by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant working experience is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiar with accounting software (e.g. SQL, AutoCount, UBS, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of accuracy, responsibility, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
