Responsibilities:

  • Developing OSH strategies and OSH systems for the organization and ensuring the implementation of OSH policies and practices.
  • Responsible for all matters regarding to Environmental, Safety and Health.
  • To develop, review, and maintain HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Risk Control) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) for relevant activities, and provide prevention actions.
  • Coordinate and monitor Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA) and Noise Risk Assessment (NRA) activities.
  • To conduct inspection for workplace injury and perform accident notification through the MyKKP system.
  • To manage machinery inspection through the MyKKP system.
  • Handling safety audits and ensuring the effectiveness of Health and Safety systems & procedures.
  • Providing training or briefing on safety issues and promote safety awareness to employees.
  • Dealing with government departments such as DOSH, DOE, Bomba, and etc.
  • Coordinate with fire protection service providers for maintenance, inspection, and testing of fire protection systems.
  • Monitor compliance for wastewater discharge and scheduled waste management.
  • Liaise with wastewater treatment service providers on IETS system operation, maintenance, and water sampling activities.
  • To provide professional advices and supports on safety, health, and environmental matters in order to ensure the compliance of safety and health standards.
  • To handle any ad-hoc projects as-and-when assigned by the management.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess Professional Certificates, at least Diploma in Environmental/ Health/ Safety or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in the field of safety & health.
  • Well versed in legal requirement pertaining to Health, Safety & Environment.
  • Familiar with Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994, Factory and Machinery Act 1967, Environmental Quality Act 1974 and Uniform Building By-Laws.
  • Familiar with ISO Environment Management System).
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are required to build effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
  • Able to work independently.
