Job Duties & Responsibilities

·Carry out installation works during the project construction.

·Assisting in the installation of new manufacturing equipment, including the mechanical and electrical parts, PLC etc.

·Plant Maintenance – Ensure the production plant meets all productivity goals by managing a maintenance process that ensures the building, utilities, equipment and other resources continuously perform to expected performance levels. Utilize appropriate TPM, Predictive/Preventive Maintenance Systems, Spare Parts Stores and new equipment specifications to ensure optimum performance.

·Maintain an up-to-date basic knowledge of all plant equipment and processes, maintains basic knowledge of all programming languages, software, protocols, etc.

·To prepare and manage and improve preventive maintenance schedule for equipment, ensure the schedule are duly executed.

·Recommend spare parts, instrumentation etc. as necessary; recommends stores additions and reductions to maintain proper inventory of parts and supplies used in specific areas of accountability.

·Repair equipment in a timely manner when breakdowns occur; investigates equipment development problems and proposes solutions, initiates approved solutions.

·Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs.

·Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.

·Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.

·Maintains system and product data base by writing computer programs and entering data.

·Preparation of TPM, PM, work instructions.

·Completes training of production & maintenance staff.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma or above (major in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Automation, or holder of Electrical AO Certificate)
  2. At least 2-5 years of working experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
  3. Experience in PLC program modification, HMI configuration, and PLC system assembly/commissioning will be an added advantage.
  4. Proficient in Chinese, English, and Malay (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
  5. Experience in electrical equipment installation/construction and maintenance of glass production line equipment.
