Our client, a prominent international education provider, is looking for an experienced Facilities Director to take charge of its
Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) operations
. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring that all outsourced facilities operations, maintenance activities, safety programs, and service delivery provided by the IFM partner and external vendors meet the organization's standards, contractual KPIs, regulatory guidelines, and compliance requirements.

The Facilities Director will play a key role in aligning the facilities management strategy with the company's long-term vision, sustainability goals, and company masterplan. This includes planning and leading facilities-related CAPEX projects, ensuring continuity of company operations, and maintaining safe, reliable, and optimized environments.

Key Responsibilities

IFM Oversight & Governance

  • Lead, manage, and evaluate the performance of the outsourced IFM provider to ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, audits, and site inspections to ensure quality operations and service delivery.
  • Ensure facilities management practices align with industry standards, regulatory expectations, and internal policies.

Facilities Operations & Maintenance

  • Oversee all building operations, maintenance programs, and lifecycle asset management across company.
  • Ensure the reliability, safety, and operational readiness of all facilities, systems, and critical infrastructure.
  • Drive continuous improvement through technology, data-driven decision-making, and best practices in preventive and predictive maintenance.

Projects & CAPEX Management

  • Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of facilities-related CAPEX and refurbishment projects.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders to support company development plans and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure project delivery meets scope, cost, quality, sustainability, and timeline expectations.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and environmental sustainability standards.
  • Develop and maintain emergency preparedness, business continuity, and risk mitigation frameworks.
  • Champion safe company environments and support regulatory audits and certification processes.

Strategic Facilities Planning

  • Align facilities strategies with long-term needs and the company masterplan.
  • Support sustainability initiatives including energy optimization, smart building technologies, and green programs.
  • Provide expert insights and recommendations to senior leadership on infrastructure investments and planning.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience
    in building and facilities management.
  • Strong experience in
    Building Management Systems (BMS) / automated controls
    and working knowledge of
    IT networking and database programming
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Function Block Programming, Structured Text Language Programming
    , and related control programming languages.
  • Knowledge of
    industrial system protocols
    (e.g., Modbus, BACnet, OPC, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage outsourced IFM models, vendor teams, and multi-disciplinary technical environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and contract governance skills.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering facilities projects and driving operational excellence.
