Job Details:

  • Position: Finance Senior Associate
  • Location: Hybrid – our KL office based in Semantan, near MRT Semantan.
  • Salary Range: RM 5,000 to RM 6,000
  • Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Prepare accurate and timely management accounts, financial reports, and supporting schedules for statutory filings.
  • Liaise with external accountants to ensure high-quality reporting and compliance across entities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support a smooth and efficient audit process.
  • Perform financial analysis on monthly and quarterly performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making.
  • Support development of financial models for performance tracking, runway planning, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
  • Enhance and streamline finance systems, processes, and internal controls to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) are an advantage.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a startup, venture capital or high-growth environment is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to multi-entity, cross-border accounting, and treasury processes is a strong plus.
  • Interest in progressing into financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic finance.
