About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Data Center Infrastructure Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and reliability of our data center facilities. You'll ensure optimal uptime, security, and performance of all infrastructure systems — from power and cooling to network and server environments.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and is passionate about operational excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Data Center Operations: Manage daily data center infrastructure activities, including power, cooling, cabling, and facility systems.
  • Ensure System Reliability: Monitor equipment performance and implement preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Capacity Planning: Plan and optimize space, power, and cooling capacity to support business growth and technology expansion.
  • Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate with vendors for facility maintenance, upgrades, and compliance audits.
  • Infrastructure Projects: Assist in planning and executing data center improvement projects, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to data center security policies, safety protocols, and environmental standards (ISO, TIA, etc.).
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Analyze operational data, produce performance reports, and recommend infrastructure enhancements.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise technical staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in data center operations, facilities management, or critical infrastructure environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of UPS, CRAC, HVAC, fire suppression, and structured cabling systems.

  • Skills:

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Strong vendor management and project coordination abilities
  • Familiarity with DCIM tools and monitoring systems
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Certifications (added advantage): CDCP, CDCS, PMP, or equivalent.
