Job Overview:
We are seeking a
meticulous and proactive Finance Officer
to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. This role involves close collaboration with the Finance Manager and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations, effective cash flow management, and sound internal controls.
The Finance Officer will assist in preparing full sets of accounts, financial statements, and monthly reconciliations, as well as oversee credit control, payroll processing, and chapter accounts management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong analytical and communication skills to support both MAHTEC and MAH in achieving their financial and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain proper accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and verify full sets of accounts, financial statements, and monthly reconciliations.
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, petty cash, and bank transactions.
- Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely statutory payments (EPF, SOCSO, Income Tax, Zakat).
- Oversee credit control systems and monitor outstanding payments.
- Support finance-related initiatives and dialogues with government agencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and maintain effective banking relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant working experience.
- Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
