As our operations continue to grow, we're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Executive to join our Finance Department — someone who can ensure accurate invoicing, timely collections, and proper reconciliation of all customer accounts.

Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable Executive will be responsible for managing billing, monitoring outstanding payments, and ensuring healthy cash flow through effective collection and account reconciliation. You'll work closely with the sales and finance teams to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally with both internal teams and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, issue, and verify customer invoices, debit/credit notes, and payment receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor outstanding accounts and ensure collections are made within agreed credit terms.
  • Perform regular account reconciliation and resolve any discrepancies in billing or payments.
  • Follow up with clients via email or phone on overdue invoices while maintaining good client relationships.
  • Update and maintain customer payment records and aging reports.
  • Coordinate closely with the Sales and Finance teams to ensure alignment between sales orders, delivery, and billing accuracy.
  • Assist in month-end closing, account reporting, and audit documentation.
  • Support the finance department in implementing and maintaining effective AR control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and internal financial policies.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance, or Accounting roles (preferably within FMCG, trading, or distribution industries).
  • Familiar with accounting systems such as AutoCount, SQL, or SAP.
  • Strong understanding of invoicing, billing processes, and credit control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to manage reports and reconciliation efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
