About the role

Pembinaan Kekal Mewah Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our team on a contract basis in Mile 32, Sandakan, Sabah. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our construction site operations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  2. Implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and training programs to promote a strong safety culture
  3. Conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings to educate workers on safe work practices
  4. Investigating and reporting on any incidents or accidents, and implementing corrective actions
  5. Liaising with regulatory authorities and clients to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  6. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to safety management
  7. Providing support and guidance to site supervisors and workers on safety-related matters
  8. Any ad-hoc assigned by the Management as and when required

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor in the construction industry
  2. Possession of a valid CIDB Green Card and OSHA certification
  3. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including DOSH and OSHA requirements
  4. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with workers, supervisors, and clients
  6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  7. Proficient in using safety management software and tools
