Job Title: L3 Application Support

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced L3 Application Support Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance mission-critical systems within our IT ecosystem. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with business and technology teams to ensure system reliability and performance.

Candidates with Treasury, FX Market, or Capital Markets experience will be given strong preference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 3 support for production applications — diagnosing and resolving complex system issues.
  • Assist in new system implementations, including requirements gathering, evaluation, installation, customization, and migration.
  • Manage bug fixes, enhancements, and change requests for supported applications.
  • Conduct system quality assurance (QA) before UAT and guide users in UAT preparation and execution.
  • Monitor application performance, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Evaluate the impact of new software releases, patches, and upgrades before deployment.
  • Maintain technical documentation, prepare user guides, and conduct training when required.
  • Coordinate with vendors for incident management, issue escalation, and ticket tracking.
  • Participate in IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity initiatives.
  • Support new IT projects as a subject matter expert or technical lead when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • 7–9 years of experience in Application Support, ideally within the banking or financial services domain.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Oracle, and basic Unix/Linux configuration.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Understanding of Treasury and FX systems is a plus.
  • Familiar with full project lifecycle implementation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Excellent team collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM12, RM15,000.00 per month

  • L3 Application Support Engineer: 3 years (Preferred)
