Job Title: L3 Application Support Engineer (Treasury / Capital Markets)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Application Support Engineer with a strong background in Treasury, FX, or Capital Markets systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex production issues, implementing solutions, and driving continuous improvements across mission-critical banking applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 3 support for production applications, diagnosing and resolving complex system and performance issues.
  • Participate in new system implementations, including requirements analysis, evaluation, installation, customization, and migration.
  • Manage bug fixes, enhancements, and change requests for supported applications.
  • Conduct system QA prior to UAT, and support users during UAT preparation and execution.
  • Monitor application performance, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to enhance system stability.
  • Assess and validate the impact of software releases, patches, and upgrades before deployment.
  • Maintain technical and functional documentation, prepare user guides, and deliver training sessions when required.
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners for issue resolution, escalation, and incident tracking.
  • Participate in IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning activities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) or technical lead for new IT initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 7–9 years of experience in Application Support, preferably within Banking or Financial Services.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, MySQL, and Oracle, including query tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with Windows and Linux/Unix environments.
  • Exposure to Treasury, FX, or Capital Markets systems is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of software development and project lifecycle implementation processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, business users, and external vendors.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of banking applications such as Murex, Calypso, or Kondor+ is advantageous.
  • Experience in scripting, automation, or monitoring tools (e.g., Shell, PowerShell, Control-M, Splunk) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM11, RM12,500.00 per month
