What you'll be doing?

• Technical Documentation: Prepare essential deliverables including technical drawings, layout plans, and engineering data to support project success.
• Project Support: Coordinate and provide technical expertise for various project activities, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery.
• Design and Quality Assurance: Engage in the design process, quality assurance measures, and oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Site Evaluations: Conduct on-site visits and technical assessments to guarantee proper implementation of mechanical systems.
• Problem-Solving: Assist in troubleshooting, failure analysis, and identifying root causes for mechanical issues, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure adherence to engineering specifications and project requirements.
• Compliance: Ensure all mechanical works align with industry codes, safety regulations, and best practices, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Who are they looking for?

• Educational Background: Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in mechanical principles.
• Industry Experience: Ideally, have 2 years of working experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the manufacturing industry. However, candidates with no prior experience are welcomed to apply.
• Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and fabrication processes to contribute effectively to projects.
• Quality Standards: Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, industry standards, and regulations such as ASME, API, ISO 9001, and AWS is highly valuable.
• Inspection Skills: Experience in conducting inspections, testing, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods is beneficial for ensuring quality outcomes.
• Technical Interpretation: Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications is essential for success in this role.
• Documentation: Ability to prepare and review QA/QC documentation, including Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, and Material Approval Submissions.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills are crucial for excelling in this position.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in spoken and written Chinese, English, and Malay is required to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders and suppliers in China.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and reporting abilities to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure, meet project deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel locally and overseas on a project basis, embracing opportunities for professional growth and diverse experiences.
