About the role

We are seeking a talented Technical Executive (Building Maintenance) to join our team at K.K.I.P. SDN. BHD' in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our HQ building, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and functionality.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular inspections of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety equipment
  • Coordinating and supervising the work of maintenance contractors and vendors
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of building assets
  • Responding to and resolving maintenance-related issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and expenditures
  • Collaborating with the property management team to ensure the seamless operation of our facilities
  • Staying up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices related to building maintenance

What we're looking for

  • A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. Possession of a PW2 or PW4 certificate will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management, preferably in the commercial or residential property sector
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to identify and resolve complex maintenance issues
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with contractors, vendors, and property occupants
  • Proficiency in project management and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices
