A Retail Manager oversees the daily operations of a retail store, ensuring smooth functioning, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Sales-driven with customer service expertise.
  • Proficiency in retail POS systems and inventory software.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Previous retail experience (management preferred).

1. Store Operations Management

  • Ensure the store is well-organized, clean, and visually appealing.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures.
  • Manage inventory levels and stock replenishment.
  • Handle cash management, including daily sales reports and banking.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and retail regulations.

2. Sales & Customer Service

  • Drive sales targets and monitor performance metrics (KPIs).
  • Train staff in sales techniques and customer engagement.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure high service standards.
  • Implement promotions and merchandising strategies.

3. Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, and supervise retail staff.
  • Create work schedules and assign duties.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Foster a positive work environment and resolve conflicts.

4. Inventory & Supply Chain

  • Monitor stock levels and place orders with suppliers.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to prevent shrinkage (theft/loss).
  • Manage returns, defective items, and supplier issues.

5. Financial Management

  • Prepare budgets and control expenses.
  • Analyze sales reports to identify trends and improve profitability.
  • Optimize pricing strategies and discount policies.

6. Marketing & Merchandising

  • Plan in-store promotions and seasonal displays.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on campaigns.
  • Ensure product placement maximizes sales (visual merchandising).

7. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security protocols.
  • Follow labor laws and retail industry regulations.
  • Handle emergencies (theft, accidents, etc.) appropriately.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2, RM2,500.00 per month
