Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Wisma DRB-HICOM, Glenmarie, Shah Alam for a Senior Executive,
Group Finance - Sustainability Reporting and Internal Control Compliance
. The Senior Executive supports the Manager, Project Management in executing financial governance, sustainability initiatives, and strategic projects across Group companies. This role also provides guidance to junior executives and contributes to process improvements and technical advisory efforts, particularly within the Mobility segment.

1) Sustainability Reporting Support

·  Assist in leading the implementation of sustainability reporting frameworks across finance teams.

· Ensure reporting alignment with IFRS S1 and S2, including preparation and review of financial disclosures.

2) Governance & Financial Integrity

·   Conduct and review impairment testing and going concern assessments.

·    Monitor SOP compliance and support governance-related initiatives.

3) Financial Statement Preparation

·    Support the drafting and review of audited financial statements.

4) Technical Advisory & Reconciliation

·     Provide technical accounting support and assist in resolving intercompany reconciliation issues.

·     Liaise with finance teams in the automotive sub-sector to ensure consistency and accuracy.

5) Corporate Exercises & Project Management

·     Participate in Group-level corporate exercises and strategic projects.

·     Review financial and accounting matters and provide recommendations to the Manager.

6) Board & GMC Paper Review

·    Assist in reviewing board and GMC papers related to external auditor evaluations, corporate exercises, and other key matters.

7) Training & Development

·    Support the delivery of training programs aligned with MFRS and IFRS standards.

·     Mentor junior staff and contribute to capability-building initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in external audit field. Preferred from Big 4 or Medium Audit Firms.
  • Project Management and Coordination skills, with the ability to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills to identify, assess, and address project challenges.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands and work well in a dynamic environment.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance or Professional Qualifications (i.e. ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, MICPA, CIMA).
