About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the dynamic finance team at Kuta Bistro'. As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting support to ensure the smooth financial operations of the business. This is a full-time role based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Performing data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Supporting the month-end and year-end closing process
  • Providing administrative support to the Finance team as needed

What we're looking for

  • Relevant qualification in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
