About Our Client
Our client is a well-established Japanese MNC with over 40 years experience in industrial projects, specializing in M&E related works such as HVAC and Cleanroom systems. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager, who is familiar with industrial projects for semiconductor players, to be based at Melaka.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage, plan, coordinate and execute all M&E projects site work for Industrial projects.
  • Lead a team of project engineers / project site and safety supervisor to ensure proper project execution in an efficient and effective way.
  • Attend meetings (Technical meeting, Commercial Meeting, Design meeting, Internal Alignment meeting and Site meeting).
  • Attend Safety Management by Walk Around (SMBWA) line walk, and Clean Room line walk and Quality line walk.
  • To ensure project delivers within company budget, cash flow and reasonable profits.
  • To plan and prepare the project schedule and ensure project follows the approved schedule to execute and meeting final handover deadline.
  • To prepare Project Execution Plan which incorporate all the element such as Safety, QAQC, Commercial, Coordination issue and etc.
  • Prepare method of statements (MOS), installation, Inspection Test Plan to the assign system and ensure work is executed based on MOS, Shop Drawings and schedule and in compliance with respective industrial Material construction Specification.
  • Manage the implementation of project activities including project execution at site for Mechanical or Electrical distribution system, HVAC, cleanroom, process utility system etc.
  • Review and ensure M&E design drawing and specifications on the functionality, practicality, constructability, and head up to design team for any issue and proposed value-engineering aspects are complied.
  • Update As Built drawing and prepare Handover documents.
  • To liaise with client (System Owners, Area Owners, Tools Owners), consultant, sub-contractor, and relevant authorities to resolve technical issues.
  • Manage & coordinate with sub-contractors for site survey, space management, site activities to meet the project milestone.
  • Work together with safety personnel to ensure site safety requirements are adhered and ensure adherence to all company and government (DOSH) Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulation, Clean room protocol and EHS Minimum Performance Requirement (MPR) etc.
  • Must be able to prepare Request for Information (RFI) to any changes of specification and prepare technical presentation to Client.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 8 - 10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in project management or construction industry.
  • Good in English and Bahasa Malaysia both in writing and communication. Proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese would be an added advantage.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Ms. PowerPoint, Ms. Word, Ms. Excel and AutoCAD.
  • Must possess a valid CIDB Green card.
  • Willing to travel when required.
