Job Description – Technical
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in on-site installation, configuration, and setup of:

  • CCTV Cameras & NVR/DVRs (IP & Analog)

  • Intrusion Alarm Systems
  • Door Access Control (Card, Fingerprint & Face Recognition)
  • Wireless Surveillance Cameras
  • Wireless Access Points (WAP)
  • PABX & IP Phone Systems
  • Support maintenance services, preventive checks, and system updates.
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
  • Configure and record basic network settings (IP address, port forwarding, DDNS).
  • Conduct system testing and customer handover, providing basic user training with supervisor.
  • Maintain installation records, IP lists, setup forms, and project documentation.
  • Report daily progress, issues, and completion status to the supervisor.
  • Work closely with installers and other departments to ensure smooth execution.
  • Follow safety guidelines during site work.

Presales & Design Responsibilities
  • Support presales activities by reviewing drawings, BOQs, and site plans.
  • Perform preliminary system design and prepare single-line diagrams for CCTV, alarm, access control, and network systems.
  • Calculate material quantities, cable lengths, and power/network requirements.
  • Provide technical recommendations on product selection, installation methods, and materials based on client site conditions.
  • Assist the Sales Department in preparing technical proposals and quotations.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate technical information for projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Certificate/Diploma in ICT, Electronics, or related field.
  • Knowledge of ICT/security systems (CCTV, alarm, access control, networking).
  • Understanding of IP configuration & networking basics.
  • Ability to use hand tools, test equipment, and configuration software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD / Microsoft Visio for system layout and single-line drawing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning ability.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and work flexible hours.
  • Possess valid driving license (D/B2).
  • Able to communicate in English (Malay/Chinese is an added advantage).

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in ICT/security system installation (CCTV, alarm, door access).
  • Familiarity with Hikvision, Dahua, Paradox, ZKTeco, Ubiquiti, or similar brands.
  • Ability to prepare simple reports, drawings, and meeting notes.
  • Customer service or on-site client interaction experience.
  • Multilingual: English, Malay, Chinese.
  • Prior internship or hands-on technical support / presales experience.
