Our client "Gagasan Nadi Cergas Berhad" is seeking a Finance Manager / Assistant Finance Manager to join their team

What you'll be doing?
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards and Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad requirements.
  • Board Presentations: Craft insightful board papers for presenting quarterly financial results to the Audit and Risk Management Committee.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and supervise junior team members in preparing accurate consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Compliance Management: Coordinate with external company secretary for XBRL submissions and manage the external audit process for consolidated financial statements.
  • Tax Planning: Review and prepare draft provisional tax computations and liaise with external tax agents to ensure timely tax payments.
  • Corporate Finance: Support corporate exercises, assist in due diligence processes, and contribute to fund-raising activities.
  • Budgeting: Collaborate with departments and subsidiaries to prepare and consolidate the group's annual budget.
Who are they looking for?
  • Educational Background: Candidates with a degree in Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent. Professional certifications such as MIA or ACCA are preferred.
  • Industry Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong skills in group consolidation, financial reporting, account reconciliation, tax compliance, financial analysis, forecasting, and auditing.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders and manage international business relations.
