ESG & Sustainability

  • Lead the preparation of the annual Sustainability Statement for Bursa Malaysia in line with Listing Requirements.
  • Monitor, calculate, and report GHG emissions (Scope 1–3), and track progress against reduction targets.
  • Support ESG audits, gap analysis, and FTSE4Good disclosures.
  • Coordinate Sustainability Committee activities, including agenda, minutes, and reporting dashboards.
  • Develop and coordinate CSR and staff engagement programmes (tree-planting, Free Market, Coffee Chat, etc.).
  • Benchmark Carimin's ESG practices against industry peers and regulatory expectations (e.g., Bursa CSI, IFRS S1/S2, NSRF).
  • Provide ESG training, awareness sessions, and employee communications.

Corporate Compliance & Governance

  • Maintain and update the legal & regulatory compliance register.
  • Support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) reviews and Board Risk Committee reporting. Monitor internal compliance with company policies, SOPs, and Bursa disclosure requirements. Assist in internal and external audits on compliance and ESG.
  • Track and coordinate responses to regulators (Bursa Malaysia, PETRONAS, SEDA, etc.).

Legal & Contracts

  • Assist the Head of Department in coordinating legal documents such as NDAs, contracts, arbitration notices, board resolutions, and banking facilities.
  • Liaise with external counsel and follow up on litigation and arbitration updates as directed by Head of Department/ Management.
  • Provide administrative and research support for legal memos, board papers, invoices and correspondence prepared for the Managing Director/CEO.
  • Support contract management processes, vendor due diligence, and compliance checks under the guidance of the Head of Department.

Reporting & Digitalisation

  • Manage ESG and compliance reporting trackers and dashboards.
  • Assist in digitalisation of ESG and compliance processes for more efficient monitoring.
  • Prepare data for ESG score assessments (FTSE Russell, Bursa CSI) and investor engagement.

JOB REQUIRMENTS:

  • Candidate must possess minimum Degree in Business Admin/ International Business/ Environmental Science or equivalent
  • Experience of 4-5 years in similar position and experienced in Energy industry is an added advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Senior Management, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop, lead and manage programs for business improvement initiatives.
  • Computer literate, MS Word and Excel
  • Able to work independently under minimum supervision
  • Good planning, organizing skills, committed, high integrity and aggressive at work.
  • Strong sense of responsibility with great discipline.
