Job Title: Senior Product Engineer (Developer) - Full Stack Java Developer (Banking Systems)

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to design, develop, and support full-stack banking applications using Java, J2EE, and modern web technologies, ensuring high-quality, secure, and efficient software solutions that meet both business and regulatory requirements.

This position emphasizes backend development while maintaining strong exposure to frontend frameworks and integration technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end banking applications using Java and web technologies.
  • Implement secure and high-performing backend services following best coding practices.
  • Develop responsive frontend interfaces using Angular or React.
  • Integrate applications with RESTful / SOAP APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
  • Work closely with QA and DevOps teams to ensure successful deployment and testing.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure compliance with banking and security standards throughout the SDLC.

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Programming Languages: Java, J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, Spring MVC)
  • Frontend: Angular or React, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap
  • APIs: RESTful & SOAP Web Services
  • Data Formats: JSON, XML
  • Database: SQL, MSSQL
  • Version Control: Git
  • Build Tools: Maven or Gradle
  • Testing Frameworks: JUnit or TestNG
  • Application Servers: JBOSS, IBM WebSphere
  • Core Skills: Strong OOP concepts, full SDLC knowledge, and full-stack development experience

Preferred Attributes

  • Prior experience in banking or financial systems development.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in agile, cross-functional teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM10, RM11,000.00 per month
