About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and strategic Cost Executive to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate product costing for quotation preparation, supplier selection, and internal pricing decisions. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, Purchasing, Production, and Finance teams, and liaise with the GSK group for new project costing initiatives. Besides, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost analysis to support the company's strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Precise Cost Calculation:
- Calculate and analyze the full cost structure of products, including manufacturing, process, labour, overhead, and materials. Provide accurate product cost data to the Sales Department for quotation and pricing preparation.
Costing Strategy & Pricing Support:
- Develop and oversee costing strategies and pricing models aligned with business objectives. Support internal pricing decisions through detailed cost breakdowns and profitability analysis.
Supplier Cost Evaluation:
- Estimate part-level cost objectives to support supplier selection and procurement decisions. Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering teams to validate supplier quotations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Maintain close communication with R&D, Purchasing, and Production departments to collect cost-related data. Proactively coordinate with relevant departments and the GSK group for new product costing and project launches.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present cost reports, variance analyses, and pricing recommendations to the Sales Department.
What we're looking for
Supplier Cost Evaluation:
- Estimate part-level cost objectives to support supplier selection and procurement decisions. Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering teams to validate supplier quotations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Maintain close communication with R&D, Purchasing, and Production departments to collect cost-related data. Proactively coordinate with relevant departments and the GSK group for new product costing and project launches.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present cost reports, variance analyses, and pricing recommendations to the Sales Department.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cost analysis in manufacturing industry or any other related roles preferably within the Analysis & Reporting field
- Proficient in financial analysis, cost accounting, and reporting
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial modelling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive and analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve problems
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Well-communicator in bilingual languages, interact with stakeholders from China and Taiwan in Mandarin for all correspondences will be an added advantage.
